Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday said that the powerful Iranian nation resists bullying powers and will defend its rights, including the right to pursue peaceful nuclear technology.
Addressing a large crowd of local residents of the city of Javanroud in, he said threats, political pressure and negative propaganda cannot prevent the Iranian nation from moving forward in the path to progress. The Islamic Republic of Iran is now a nuclear power, thanks to the hard work of the Iranian people and authorities, the Iranian president added, according to IRNA.
Referring to the threat of sanctions that may be imposed on Iran, President Ahmadinejad said that the Iranian nation will not be affected. He reiterated that the Iranian nation will continue in its nuclear path powerfully and will celebrate a nuclear victory soon.
