Mobilecom, Jordan’s second mobile service provider, announced on Monday the appointment of Afkar Promoseven as its new advertising agency in the country.
"Prior to MobileCom’s launch in September 2000, the objective was to establish strong market awareness for its corporate identity," said Jean-Christophe Caillat, CEO of MobileCom.
Caillat said in a press release that "as we are now at a different stage of growth, we will need to ensure that our offers are clearly and simply spelled out in our advertising.”
Afkar Promoseven was chosen “after a long and selective process” in which Jordan’s top-notch agencies were invited to participate in a tender issued by MobileCom.
Proposals for a comprehensive campaign were presented by the agencies to be reviewed by an internal tendering committee at MobileCom, the statement said.
Points were awarded on a number of key deliverables including creativity, industry and brand knowledge, as well as agency capability, the statement explained.
According to the statement, the appointment will see Afkar Promoseven responsible for delivering on MobileCom’s strategy moving forward, strengthening its market position through creative advertising and promotions across a broad spectrum of Jordanian media – Albawaba.com
