To celebrate the opening of Phase One of Abu Dhabi’s new state-of-the-art exhibition centre, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company will be lighting the historic Grandstand on Khaleej Al Arabi Street, from February 17th – 22nd between 6pm and 1am every night. The lighting display will run for the duration of IDEX 2007 – the first ever event to be staged at the new centre.
The historic Grandstand which for many years was used by His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late President of the UAE, to view parades and other national celebrations has been integrated to the exhibition centre and now contains a superb 2,000sqm food court, a retail area featuring an Etihad booking office, Emirates Post Office, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and a car rental office as well as offices for ADNEC Management and some of the world’s top exhibition organisers.
