A delegation of top-level academics from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom visited Bahrain recently to review plans for the new Royal University for Women (RUW), which will accept its first intake in September 2005.

The visitors from Middlesex University arrived to discuss a whole range of subjects including the curriculum proposals and equipment needs for the new university’s Faculty of Design and Computing, which is to be validated by Middlesex.

Middlesex University is one of the UK’s largest universities and is ratifying all the degree programmes offered by the design faculty. These include degrees in computer science, fashion design, graphic design and interior design. RUW will also offer a foundation programme in the visual arts.
