ALBAWABA - A border clash between Pakistani and Afghan security forces killed three Afghan civilians on Tuesday, according to a spokesman for the Taliban government in Kabul.

The clashes began late Monday near the southern border crossing of Torkham, after Pakistani border forces opened fire on Afghan border forces, according to Mufti Abdul Mateen, Afghanistan's interior ministry spokesperson.

The Bakhtar News Agency reported yesterday on the Taliban-Pakistan border skirmish. According to the report, the fighting began when Pakistani soldiers invaded Afghanistan when they were building a security station in the "Buklin Permit" area.

In a separate incident, five people, including women and children, were killed after an incident sparked between Pakistani and Taliban troops in the Dand Patan district of Paktia province.

The regular clashes between Taliban border troops and the Pakistani military in Torkham have resulted in several fatalities and financial damages.

The persistent tensions emphasize the unstable security situation along the border, with recurrent incidents and clashes creating a cycle of violence and instability in the region. Some speculate that the lack of an reaction from Pakistani officials hinders efforts to de-escalate the confrontations.
