‘Revealed’ Discovers what Drives Businessman Carlos Ghosn

Renault and Nissan President  and CEO Carlos Ghosn, one of the world’s busiest business leaders, gives CNN viewers an intimate insight into his life in the new monthly show, ‘Revealed’ which explores Ghosn’s world on Saturday 13 May at 1830 BST / 1930 CET.

CNN travels around the world in the company of Ghosn, the man labelled ‘le cost killer’ finding out about his life CEO of two companies.  Having been promoted to the role of CEO of France’s Renault after successfully saving Japan’s Nissan, Ghosn now shares his time between Paris and Tokyo.

In this unprecedented portrait, Ghosn explains how his unique heritage - a mixture of Lebanese, Brazilian and French - has shaped his life and career and been integral in helping him conquer and work with many different cultures over the course of his time in the car industry.  CNN exposes how this background is behind his acceptance and even worship by many of the different nationalities he has interacted with.

From his rivals in the motor industry to the 350,000 staff he employs, Carlos Ghosn has never lacked respect. In Japan he is treated as a national hero and was recently voted CNBC Europe’s ‘European Business Leader of the Year’.

‘Revealed’ gets unprecedented access to Ghosn as he travels across three continents.  He is seen at work at his headquarters in Tokyo for Nissan and Paris for Renault. We join him onboard his private jet as he flies into the UK to inspect a Nissan plant and receives a visit from the local Member of Parliament who just happens to be the UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.  And we accompany him to New York to his arrival in New York for the annual motor show where he faces the world’s press as he unveils two new Nissan models.

‘Revealed’ assesses his working methods, his history, his glowing reputation in the industry and tries to explain the forces that have driven him to the top of his trade.

“I work relatively quickly; I don’t have the luxury to take a lot of time for decisions.” Ghosn tells CNN.

Over the next few months, ‘Revealed’ will go to the Monaco Grand Prix with Italian Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli and take a look at the critically acclaimed work of ‘Freedom Towers’ architect, Daniel Liebskind.
