There's a small problem with Ben Carson's refugee map

Public blunders are quickly becoming Ben Carson’s forte, yet the Republican presidential candidate is still going strong in the polls, leading alongside Trump.

So perhaps it's not surprising that his campaign shared a map of the US showing which states plan to reject Syrians in an effort to pander to the conservative governors making the most anti-refugee noise. But there was one tiny problem—geography.

That’s right, the man who could be the next US president, responsible for an airstrike coalition in Syria and a peace process in Palestine and Israel, failed to ensure his map had all 50 continental US states in the right place.

We've heard other gems from Carson—the pyramids of Egypt were built to store grain, apparently, and a Muslim would have to renounce his faith in order to become president.

But these are things some people could get behind. Many Americans would probably agree with Carson that the pyramids may have been built by the biblical Joseph, and we've seen more than enough examples of how many Americans think a Muslim should not be president.

But nobody can defend such a blatant gaffe as relocating states on the map, no matter how much they dislike the idea of refugees arriving in the US.
