Syrian actress Tulay Haron has revealed that she took part in recent protests in front of the US Embassy in Damascus, to express rejection of foreign interference in Syrian affairs. Tulay stated that despite the fact that Egyptian military forces advised protesters to control their emotions and make the demonstration a peaceful one in order to send out their message, she and all the protesters lost their cool and began throwing tomatoes at the embassy.

According to the internet website MBC.net, Tulay revealed that there were a number of Syrian stars among demonstrators, who had all come on their own and were not pressured to do so by the Syrian Actors Association or any other entity.

Tulay stated that one of the most important demand of protesters in front of the embassy was having the US Ambassador leave the country, who is accused of creating sparks between Syrians and the regime of Syrian President Bashar Al Asad. The US Ambassador had visited the city of Hama, which is witnessing the fiercest demonstrations against the government, to show his support to the people.

It was added that at the beginning of the demonstration there were only 20 people, but in no time the numbers rose to the thousands. Tulay said that she and most Syrians are in support of Bashar Al Asad and the least they could do for him and their country is hold demonstrations.
