Transition: Contemporary Art from the Middle East will be taking London by storm.
The exhibition is the work of 38 Arab artists, from countries including Qatar, the UAE, Palestine, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, and Bahrain. Their work will be shown in an exhibition created by Reconnecting Arts, an international platform created by British-based Qatari artists.
“Ranging from fine art, calligraphy, sculpture, photography, to video, zines and installation, the artists explore topics and issues that shape the lives of Middle Eastern artists both locally and internationally,” says the exhibition. “This includes the effect of urbanisation as well as displacement, the impact of balancing East and West, as well as gender roles, embracing faith and the future of the Middle East.”
Entry will be free; the exhibition will run until September 2nd. Get details here. Get the rundown on some of the amazing talent on display here.
