Syrian actress Salma Al Masri will be taking part in three different television dramas this coming Ramadan season. One of the dramas she will take part in is “Mukhtar Haritna” (Head of the Neighborhood) which is a traditional Syrian drama about the old days of Damascus. The drama that tackles the ways of life in the olden days will mark Salma’s return to traditional  characters after more than a ten year absence. The drama is written by Marwan Qarouq and directed by Fadi Saleem.

In the drama, Salma plays the role of an important lady in the neighborhood that is the basis of most of the storylines and ties a number of characters together.

In addition to “Mukhtar Haritna”, Salma will also take part in the drama “Rafat Ayn” (Blink of an Eye) alongside Syrian actress Amal Arafeh, Saloum Haddad, Abd Al Minem Amayri and Wafa Al Mawsali.

The third drama Salma acts in is “Al Muftah” (The Key) which is directed by Hisham Sharbatji and written by Khaled Khalifah. In the drama, Salma plays the role of ‘Hana’,  the mother of a Christian family.
