ALBAWABA - Uzak Şehir welcomes Onur Özaydın to its cast.

The cast of Kanal D's record-breaking drama "Uzak Şehir" continues to expand ahead of its eagerly anticipated third season, with actor Onur Özaydın officially joining the series in a pivotal new role. According to Turkish entertainment reports, Özaydın will portray Enver, a character expected to bring a major twist to the storyline when he makes his first appearance in episode 64.

Produced by AyNA Yapım, Uzak Şehir has become one of Türkiye's most successful television dramas since its debut on Kanal D. The series, starring Ozan Akbaba and Sinem Ünsal, concluded its second season with episode 63 and is scheduled to begin filming for its third season at the end of August.

One of the biggest questions surrounding the new season had been the identity of the actor cast as Enver. Turkish media have now confirmed that the role has gone to Onur Özaydın, an experienced actor known for his performances in productions including Savaşçı (Warrior), Kardeşlerim, Yargı, Yasak Elma, and numerous other television dramas.

Enver is described as Alya's first love, reconnecting with the character played by Sinem Ünsal years after their relationship ended. According to information released by Turkish entertainment sources, Enver is a stylish restaurant owner living in Budapest. He is portrayed as an intuitive, cultured, elegant, self-confident, and charismatic man whose unexpected return is expected to create emotional tension and introduce a new dynamic to Alya's story.

The production team is also preparing for an international filming schedule. Scenes involving Enver will reportedly be filmed in Budapest, Hungary, with location shooting planned between August 16 and 20. The overseas filming will mark another significant production step for Uzak Şehir, which has primarily been filmed in Mardin's Midyat district, where the fictional Albora family story unfolds.

Since premiering in 2024, Uzak Şehir has consistently ranked among Türkiye's highest-rated television series. Adapted from the Lebanese drama Al Hayba, the series follows Alya Albora, who returns from Canada to Mardin with her son following her husband's death, only to become entangled in the powerful Albora family's traditions and long-standing conflicts. The emotional relationship between Alya and Cihan Albora, portrayed by Ozan Akbaba, has become one of the drama's defining storylines.

The arrival of Enver is expected to introduce a fresh emotional conflict as Alya's past resurfaces, potentially affecting the balance of relationships that viewers have followed over the previous two seasons. Although producers have not revealed further details about his storyline, the addition of Onur Özaydın has already generated significant excitement among fans awaiting the series' return.
