ALBAWABA - After being suspended from acting and singing in Egypt over contract issues, Lebanese singer and actress Haifa Wehbe allegedly took to her official Instagram and responded to the issue in question.

The Lebanese singer took to her Instagram and posted a verse from the Holy Quran's Surat Fatir which said, "But the evil plot, does not encompass except its own people." This triggered a swarm of comments from social media users who questioned Wehbe's choice to share religious text despite her controversial music career and fashion.

Users sarcastically poked fun at Haifa Wehbe referencing the Holy Quran, here's what they had to say about the matter in question:

"Your heart is full of faith."

"Did she suddenly remember that she's Muslim?"

"Her silence would've been a better response than bringing God into this matter..."

"You can't be both religious and do the things you do."

Why was Wehbe suspended?

The Musicians and Actors Syndicates suspended Haifa Wehbe from working in Egypt because she breached her contract with a film production company by failing to attend a North Coast performance despite having received the agreed-upon sum.

Wehbe received the contract deposit from the production company in question, but she also breached the contract's terms and then refused to implement the Actors Syndicate's investigation committee's decision.
