Disney and Pixar have just released a thrilling new trailer for ‘Inside Out 2’, the sequel to the acclaimed 2015 animated film.
The trailer introduces audiences to a host of new Emotions that will join Riley, now a teenager, as she navigates the complexities of adolescence.
Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, ‘Inside Out 2’ is set to deliver an even deeper dive into the human psyche with a score composed by Andrea Datzman. The film is scheduled for an exclusive theatrical release on June 14, 2024.
The voice cast from the original film returns, with Amy Poehler as Joy, Lewis Black as Anger, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust. They are joined by new characters that embody the turbulent teenage years: Maya Hawke voices Anxiety, Ayo Edebiri brings life to Envy, Adèle Exarchopoulos voices Ennui, and Paul Walter Hauser portrays Embarrassment.
Riley, about to embark on her high school journey, is voiced by Kensington Tallman, while Lilimar voices Valentina “Val” Ortiz, a high school hockey player admired by Riley and her friends. Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan reprise their roles as Riley’s parents, with Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green and Grace Lu voicing Riley’s best friends. Yvette Nicole Brown voices Coach Roberts, who leads a summer hockey camp.
The expanded voice cast also includes talents like Sarayu Blue, Flea, Ron Funches, Dave Goelz, James Austin Johnson, Bobby Moynihan, Frank Oz, Paula Pell, Paula Poundstone, John Ratzenberger, Kendall Coyne Schofield, June Squibb, Kirk Thatcher, and Yong Yea.
