ALBAWABA - Syrian singer Al Shami has ignited controversy on social media after posting several images on his Instagram account in which he was seen with a new haircut and an earring in his right ear.
Fans were shocked after a new post by Al Shami seen with a fresh haircut and a diamond earring.
Social media flipped in a few moments, creating a huge fuss before the Syrian star removed the post and clarified that he was joking with his fans.
One fan commented, "He was joking, and even if he got a piercing in his ear like some artists around the world, it's his choice, and nobody has the right to interfere, and his fans love him as he is."
Al Shami, who has over 7 million followers on Instagram, is one of the judges in The Voice Kids.
Another person said, "I really liked it; it's beautiful and doesn't suit him, and everyone is free to do what they want, aren't they human or something? I loved it"
Al Shami was trending in early June after Syrian influencer Angie Khoury claimed that she is pregnant with the Syrian artist.
Khoury said that she had been secretly married to Al Shami, explaining that their relationship had continued for some time away from the media spotlight. He responded to these allegations via Instagram Stories, where he posted clips from the circulating videos, by saying, "Right now, I could sue you and make a scene, but it’s clear you’re not having the best time of your life… May God ease your burden and help you."
