Amr Diab’s fans were outraged by Algerian star Amel Bouchoucha last week, after she allegedly turned down a starring role in Amr’s upcoming TV drama “Al Shuhra” (Fame) for professional reasons.

The Egyptian singer’s fans launched a harsh attack on Miss A, who said that committing to Diab’s show would mean her inability to accept other projects.

But Amel is already occupied with filming the new Syrian drama “Al Ikhwa” (The Brothers), so give the girl a break, would you?

But a break they won’t give! According to Laha Mag, Diab’s loyal supporters questioned whether Amel was even offered a role in “Fame” in the first place.

One fan wrote: “How is it possible for an artist like Amel, who is just at the beginning of her career, to turn down an offer to star alongside such a legendary singer like Amr? He’s the most notable singer in Egypt.” He makes a good point, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!

Last Jan, it was rumored that Egyptian actress Bushra was nominated as Amr's leading lady in his upcoming Ramadan series.

At the time, an astonished Bushra said that not in a million years did she think she would be starring in one of the most important dramas of the year.

She told her Twitter fans: “I’m so happy because I’m going to be working with superstar Amr Diab in the TV drama series “Al Shuhra”... Please pray for me.”
