An announcement was made by a perfumery and herbal shop, promoting a unique spray, which is to be used to purify the air from magic and envy inside houses and offices, an online media outlet reported.
The shop, which is famous among Saudi women for its products that cure envy, magic and other disorders of life, sells items which vary from water for drinking or washing, to oils and creams, herbs and pills to eradicate all diseases and spiritual ills.
A salesman at one of the branches of the perfumery said the spray contains white and black musk, Zamzam water and rosewater.
"A renowned sheikh has read some prayers on this mixture aimed at treating those who complain of distress, depression and obsession," said the salesman.
Speaking of the other products to treat different illnesses, he said: "We have what is called 'Sheikh's salt' for bathing, and Tablinah, which consists of grounded barley with honey or milk and has been read over by the sheik, and is described to expel sadness."
Sheikh Dr. Qais Al-Mubarak, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, commented on making a living by selling Ruqyah products: "Ruqyah has already been mentioned in the Holy Qur'an, which is meant to read verses of the Holy Book on the person in need for such treatment."
