Polling shows broad swaths of Egyptians are tiring of protests, including pro- and anti-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrations.
The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research said 74 percent of Egyptians objected to a protest by anti-government activists outside the Muslim Brotherhood's Guidance Bureau. The protests devolved into violent clashes between protestors and Brotherhood youths.
Only 14 percent of respondents supported the protest.
Similar numbers oppose a Muslim Brotherhood-organized demonstration outside the offices of cable news stations for what protesters said was biased, anti-Muslim news coverage, Egypt Independent said.
Only 8 percent of those surveyed approved of that protest, with 78 percent disapproving.
