After a 1, 240 mile journey from Greece, a tomcat named Kunkush has been reunited with its Iraqi family in Norway.

Rehab Al Alaf and her family are refugees who fled war-torn Mosul, Iraq after being threatened by Daesh. After trekking through Turkey with the animal in a basket, she said it had slipped away on the island of Lesbos.

Volunteers found the cat on the island and posted pictures of it on social media. They even raised $1,640 USD to fund veterinarian and flight cost and the cat rejoined its happy family.
