After launching eight local domains in the Middle East and Africa, YouTube is extending its reach to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.

A local version of the YouTube will offer consumers the most popular videos in their home country along with those that are rising in popularity. “If you create and upload a video, other people in your country — and possibly around the world — are more likely to be able to find and watch your creation,” YouTube said in a statement.

“The local domains also present a big opportunity for advertisers who want a Pan-Arab advertising solution. In the Middle East and North Africa (Mena), with more than 300 million views a day - we want to continue to be forum that connects, informs, and inspires original-content creators and advertisers large and small,” the statement said.
