ALBAWABA- Overwatch 2 has recently launched on Steam with a staggering 93,072 reviews although gamers have not been happy with Blizzard's competitive game hence the 'Overwhelmingly Negative' reviews it has accumulated.
Gamers could not voice their concerns about the game since Overwatch 2 only launched on PC via Blizzard's Battle.net which didn't have the option for commenting and rating it.

Many people lashed out at Blizzard's Overwatch 2 on Steam's release:
''Big Mistake coming to steam. now you have the whole community critiquing your game accurately for all Steam users to see''
''Overwatch 2 has no respect for you, it's an attempt to pry open your wallet while masquerading as the game it used to be.''
"I cried at the part when Reaper said "BUY, BUY, BUY" and locked the new heroes behind a battle pass and scrapped the Story Mode. Truly the game of all time. Thank you Activision Blizzard."
They said that the game had no consideration for the players after it went free to play and that Blizzard was trying to make easy money by selling overpriced skins, removing loot boxes, and adding a battle pass with heroes locked behind it.

Overwatch relies on characters since they each bring unique advantages and abilities to the team, thus keeping heroes behind a barrier is problematic.
The hate came right after Blizzard announced the cancellation of Overwatch 2's 'Hero Mode' which was supposed to differentiate it from its predecessor. Additionally, players also voiced their concerns about the in-game balances of certain heroes
According to GamesRadar+, after speaking to Overwatch 2's director Aaron Keller about the hero balance issues as he reassured the players that Blizzard meets weekly to work on a balance patch.
He also added that it's ''easy from the outside to look in and put this narrative on it''.

Blizzard says, ''Invasion Story Missions are deep and expansive co-op experiences where a team of four players will work to complete multiple mission objectives across massive maps.''
With the cancellation of the 'Hero Mode' came the 'Invasion Events', a series of PVE activities that gamers can play together. unfortunately, the players won't be getting any PVE content till 2024.
People adored Overwatch when it was released and it even won The Game Award for Game of the Year in 2016 with its charming and colorful characters, settings, and competitive gameplay.
