Japanese brokers are keen on business in Iran`s Metals Exchange, said Head of the Economic and Commercial
Affairs Department at the Japanese Embassy in Tehran Wednesday.
The Japanese diplomat said after visiting Tehran Metals Exchange (TME) on Wednesday that Iran would turn into a major steel exchange hub in the region in the near future.
He said Japanese industrialists and traders will be briefed on metals exchange procedures in Tehran in a meeting to be held in Tokyo soon, the official IRNA news agency reported.
He added that metals brokers can exchange steel sows and semis in TME on paper and then sell them in cash in any other country after exporting to Japan.
The official said TME website is also designed in such a way to make metals` e-commerce on figurative exchange halls possible in the future. (menareport.com)
