A new app claims to be the Popcorn Time for porn films, letting users get hold of pirated adult videos with as much ease as watching Netflix.

Available for Windows, Mac and Linux already, with Android and iOS versions coming in the next week or so, Porn Time is said to be as easy to use as its forerunner.

Popcorn Time is said to be one of the film and TV industry’s biggest worries, since it makes torrenting and piracy so much easier than traditional methods. Porn Time could cause the same problems for the adult film industry, which by some estimates has a far bigger piracy problem than mainstream media.

Like Popcorn Time, the site contains a warning that “Porn Time streams movies from torrents.” “Downloading copyright material may be illegal in your country,” it notes. “use at your own risk.”

Porn time is built on the same technology that powers Popcorn Time. It works by unifying the process of finding a torrent file, downloading it and then watching it — once, users had to do each of those things themselves, but Popcorn Time unites them in an interface that’s as easy to use as Netflix.

“Porn Time works exactly the same as Popcorn Time does, only the content is all porn,” the lead developer told VentureBeat. “Porn Time users can enjoy the latest, hottest, porn movies instantly and in HD quality, with just a click of a button. Just like with Popcorn Time, the content can be cast directly to the big screen with Chromecast or Airplay.”

Porn Time’s website claims that it has “great movies,” an “awesome catalogue,” “no restrictions” on how many videos can be watched and technology that allows people to watch films instantly in HD and with subtitles.

Unlike the content provided by Popcorn Time, pornographic films are already readily available on various streaming sites all over the web. But the developers told VentureBeat that many users of Popcorn Time had been requesting a porn-based alternative.
