Tamkeen, MENA Centre for Investment Ink Agreement under ‘Intelaaq’ programme

As part of its efforts to provide Bahrainis with flexible training opportunities to develop their skills and make them the first employees of choice, Tamkeen has signed an agreement with the MENA Centre for Investment to train a group of Bahraini students under the “Intelaaq” Programme.  This programme includes a two month curriculum to train business students on how to practically apply their academic knowledge to real work environment and use it to provide consultancy services to major companies in Bahrain.

Under the agreement, the MENA Centre for Investment will train 100 students in four batches during the current academic year. The centre will hold workshops that focus on communication skills, project management, conflict resolution and other related topics before dividing the students into groups and sending them to specified companies to start their consultation projects. Students will also be able to benefit from supplementary services such as interview simulations, professional advice as well as guidance regarding CV writing and working in teams.

Commenting on the agreement, Tamkeen Chairman and Acting CEO, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Essa Al Khalifa, said: “Tamkeen constantly works to support Bahrainis throughout all their developmental stages. University study and job search is a key phase as it when individuals begin entering the labour market and start perusing their professional goals. The signing of the agreement with the MENA Centre for Investment to provide training opportunities in the field of professional and management consultation is one of Tamkeen’s initiatives to support Bahrainis going through that stage.”

For his part, Chairman of MENA Centre for Investment, Dr. Zakaria Hejres said: “It is our pleasure to sign this agreement with Tamkeen to give a number of passionate Bahrainis the chance to achieve their professional ambitions and   aspirations. Through the Intelaaq programme, we aim to impart Bahrainis with specialsed skills in the field of consultancy services in order to help them become highly sought after experts that can provide organisations and companies in Bahrain with advice and guidance as well as contributing to their development and growth.”
