Send Money Abroad in Real Time With National Bank of Oman’s New Digital Remittance Service

Enhancing its digital channels to enable customers to bank from home and contain the coronavirus spread, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has launched its new digital remittance service. Making sending money abroad easier than ever, customers can now send funds in real time to seven different countries, without having to set foot outside the door. Affordable, quick and secure, it’s one of the services the bank has introduced to make people’s lives during coronavirus that much easier.
Users can send up to OMR 7,500 safely and securely, any time of the day or night, to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Philippines, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. With the first transaction free and a low remittance fee, the beneficiary will receive the money on the same day, and if possible, instantly.
“We know that being able to send money abroad is extremely important to many of our customers, yet due to the current situation, there are limited options,” said Abdul Karim Al Hinai, Deputy General manager - Alternative Channels - Retail Banking. “Our new digital remittance service means our customers can send money to their families 24/7 via the mobile app, from the comfort of home.”
