NBB Participates in National Afforestation Initiative to Achieve Carbon Neutrality
NBB GCEO Tree Week Participation

In alignment with the Kingdom’s National Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and within the framework of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) participated in the Tree Week countrywide afforestation initiative where Usman Ahmed, the Bank’s Group Chief Executive Officer planted a tree next to the Bank’s Headquarters.
With active participation from various governmental bodies, prominent businesses and community members, the endeavour aims to double the number of trees in Bahrain to 3.6 million by 2035, aligning with the Kingdom’s commitments to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. NBB is proud to support these efforts which nurture a greener Bahrain and demonstrate its dedication towards the Kingdom’s strategic goals for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
