MOHAP Undersecretary Visits Dibba Al Hosn Health Center and Fujairah Dental Center

Dr Mohamed Salim AlOlama, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP) along with Dr Yousif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Sector, visited Dibba Al Hosn Health Center in Sharjah and Fujairah Dental Center. The tour is part of the regular visits to MOHAP healthcare facilities to assess the quality of healthcare service delivery as well as staff performance and adherence to international best practices.

Dr AlOlama evaluated the operational plans and service efficiency of the different departments at the two healthcare facilities. Dr AlOlama met the staff and held discussions about the current service delivery and their ideas to improve the services. He encouraged the staff to work more efficiently and effectively to ensure customer happiness.

Dr AlOlama emphasized the significance of adopting MOHAP’s electronic health information system “Wareed” at Dibba Al Hosn Health Center. The Wareed system is designed to provide health information services on par with international standards, can manage and transfer patient medical records electronically, and streamlines the operations of outpatient clinics. Dr AlOlama also recommended modernizing the laboratory and radiology equipment at the health center. He also advocated opening dental outpatient clinics in the afternoon as well to increase patient access to the services.

During the tour of Fujairah Dental Center, Dr Mohammad AlOlama highlighted the need to fill the gaps in service by increasing the number of dental assistants. He promoted deserving staff in order to enhance employee job satisfaction and performance. He highlighted the importance of enhancing the productivity of medical and technical staff at the center and reiterated the importance of adopting “Wareed System” and implementing electronic medical records system.

Dr AlOlama applauded the performance of the medical as well as administrative teams of the healthcare facilities and encouraged them to continue their efforts towards better patient satisfaction and happiness.

Dr AlOlama said that MOHAP is committed towards improving its healthcare service framework and programs, and will continue to monitor and meet the requirements of health centers to ensure delivery of high quality health services and happiness for all patients.
