Modhesh World’s Six Fun Zones Create One Mega Destination for Families and Children

The new season of Modhesh World - one of the most popular indoor edutainment destinations in the region – recently opened its doors to much fanfare and excitement from both residents of the United Arab Emirates and visitors from across the globe. The 2017 edition of the highly anticipated event brings with it fresh ideas and design philosophies that cover the breadth of activities, entertainment avenues and park layout. Modhesh World covers an expansive area of 23,000 sq. metres across six halls at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and a striking feature of its floor plan involves separate but connected hubs designated as six distinct ‘fun zones’. Along with driving convenience while strolling through the park, the zones are decked up with the ultimate aim of delivering a never-before-seen experiential journey of entertainment, fun, edutainment, innovation and happiness – all under one roof.
Suhaila Saqer Obaid Ghubash, Director, Festivals and Events, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “It is no secret that one of the toughest audience to please are children. In the new season, we have challenged ourselves further and attempted to bring a fresh look and experience to what has essentially become an icon of summer entertainment in the city. Modhesh World 2017 is the creation of relentless hard work, creativity and collaborations with entertainment and edutainment experts who came together to create an ideal social hub that caters to all members of the family. What you see at the park are different zones that are united by one objective – to create memories, magic and happiness.”
Food Park(Hall 1)
‘Food Park DXB’ is the Modhesh World’s newest attraction, presenting over 20 curated food trucks that serve up mouthwatering and nutritious food that is enjoyed by all members of the family. Expect to be tempted by culinary concepts and trucks that are exclusively serving at Modhesh World, in addition to established homegrown restaurant chains bringing their pop-up version to the park to serve delicious, fresh and pocket-friendly meals. From juicy burgers, pasta and shawarmas to ice-cream, lemonade and mini-donuts, Food Park’s offerings will always leave you hungry for more. A soft play area for toddlers and a cinema screen running their favourite animated movies tops this zone an unmissable part of the trip. Definitely something to get out of the mall for!
Road to Future (Hall 2)
It is not just daily activities that have been influenced by the advent of futuristic technology. Rides, games, consoles and everything that once comprised ‘fun and games’ have transformed too. In ‘Road to Future’, a routine ‘child’s play’ is redefined and visitors are taken ahead of time through concepts like ‘Virtual Reality (VR) Shooting Game’, innovative games using new tech designs like ‘Laser Tag’, workshops and other thrilling rides that are conceived exclusively by our gaming experts for Modhesh World.
Amusement Street & Winners Circle (Hall 3 & 4)
How about getting rewarded for winning games? At this zone, one happiness leads to another as a range of rides, arcade and redemption games create an ideal atmosphere of both competition and camaraderie that engage the entire family. Over 20 thrilling rides feature within the park, including Bumper Car, Mini Wheel and Magic Twister amongst several others that bring families together. On the other hand, Football Challenge, Lucky Duck, Strong Hammer and Can Smash Alley can see competition to win redemption coupons reach a fever pitch. The coupons can then be redeemed for exciting gifts and Modhesh World-branded collectables.
Back to Nature (Hall 5)
Here, visitors find the good old traditional outdoor activities, indoor! Kids can revel in a fulfilling time spent bouncing fearlessly on the ‘Trampoline Fly Jump’ or test their nerves with a mini version of ‘Bungee Jump’. Another activity that is fast becoming a crowd-favourite is the ‘Petting Zoo’. Feline-loving kids can get up close with well-trained and ‘furr-iendly’ creatures in the presence of expert staff who ensure that they have the best and a safe time with their new friends.
Show Town (Hall 6)
‘Show Town’ is every child’s best-kept secret of imaginative stories and tales that unravels with a visit to Modhesh World. This is an entertainment hub featuring some of the best international and local ensemble of artists performing shows such as ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘African Summer’ and our very own ‘Modhesh Roller show’ to name a few, throughout the day at dedicated time slots, and conveying inspiring messages while spreading happiness. Also making their presence felt are ‘Roaming Mirror’ performers that walk around the park for exciting photo opportunities and the ever-smiling mascot ‘Modhesh’ who loves to meet with and entertain his little guests. ‘Happiness Workshops’ designed and delivered by experts in the field will run throughout the season and will inculcate a spirit of community, peace and happiness amongst children, families and society as a whole. Visitors at this zone must also keep an eye out for a ‘Futuristic Playground’ that is designed to unleash the hidden creativity of children and adults alike, putting on an artistic show themselves.
Meet & greet opportunity with Tamer Hosny
One of the highly anticipated events at Modhesh World is the visit of Egyptian superstar Tamer Hosny, who is scheduled to visit the park on June 29 to meet with fans and promote his upcoming film “TISBAH ALA KHAIR”. In a bid to spread happiness amongst the Arab sensation’s fans who reside in the UAE, Dubai Tourism has announced an exciting competition across the park’s official social media platforms.
