Mashreq Bank Appoints New Head of Private Banking

Mashreq Bank has appointed Vipul Kapur as its new Head of Private Banking. Kapur replaces Rajesh Malkani who left the bank to pursue an external opportunity.

Kapur comes with a 25-year track record across various aspects of retail banking. During his tenure with Citibank, he has worked in India, Bahrain, Dubai, Singapore and London, and has gained significant experience in Private Banking and Wealth Management across multiple geographies. In his new role at Mashreq, Kapur will report to Subroto Som, Group Head of Retail Banking.

The bank also announced that Alexandre Suarez, Director of Investment Advisory Private Banking, has decided to leave the Bank to pursue a new opportunity outside the GCC after 10 years in the Gulf region.
