LG presents the stunning new SoundPlate

LG Electronics (LG) unveiled the SoundPlate (model: LAP340), a slim base-type speaker system that enhances the TV viewing experience with immersive audio. Only 35mm in height, the stylish device is designed to sit unobtrusively beneath the television, saving the consumer space and bringing a clean, modern look to the living room. In spite of its modest dimensions, the SoundPlate packs a powerful 4.1 channel system with built-in dual subwoofers.

Furthermore, the product’s subtle finish perfectly matches the aesthetics of most flat-screen TVs, and also goes well with practically any interior décor.”  

One of the slimmest base-type speakers on the market, the LG SoundPlate is just 35mm tall. The 4.1 channel system produces superlative sound thanks to a high quality digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and speakers with dual neodymium magnets. Typically found in premium audio equipment, neodymium magnets provide eight times the power of ordinary magnets. 

LG’s SoundPlate also boasts optimized sound settings that intelligently adjust output. The LG SoundPlate's mode is set to make every line of dialog on the user’s favorite news and entertainment shows easier to hear, while Cinema Mode adjusted with a click of a button upgrades the movie-watching experience with convincing surround sound and superb bass reproduction. The discretely designed SoundPlate is ideally suited to TVs from 32 to 55 inches. 

The LAP340 is also conveniently simple to install and can be connected to a TV wirelessly or with a single cable, meaning users can enjoy a neat and tidy living room without the distraction of unsightly cable clutter. The ability to connect the SoundPlate wirelessly is an especially welcome option for those with wall mounted TVs. Providing further value, the Bluetooth-enabled speaker system can stream audio from a number of external devices including smartphones, laptops and tablets.
