During the event

Kuwait International Bank (KIB) organized a special event for its employees to celebrate International Women's Day. The event, entitled She L.E.A.D., featured a panel discussion on activating the role of women in various positions within the Bank's departments. This vital initiative came as part of KIB's comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing the status of women and empowering them to reach advanced leadership positions in the banking sector. It also aimed to identify strengths that ensure their distinction in performing their duties and achieving their aspirations.
On this occasion, Siham AlKhorayef, Manager of Learning and Development at KIB, stated: "At KIB, we recognize the vital role played by female staff across various departments. We are committed to raising their awareness about the importance of continuously developing their skills and advancing in their careers in order to contribute effectively to sustainable development. This involves prioritizing job fairness and fostering an inclusive work environment free from bias." She highlighted that the Bank remains dedicated to organizing specialized events for the development of its human resources, particularly for women. Additionally, it launches targeted education and development programs aimed at enhancing their professional and personal capabilities. These efforts align with KIB’s comprehensive corporate social responsibility strategy, reflecting its commitment to environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) principles, and are consistent with its slogan, "Bank for Life."
The event, held in Al Shaheed Park, saw the attendance and active participation of fifty-five KIB employees, both in the informative panel discussion and subsequent workshop on "Unconscious Bias in the Workplace." Among the participants were various bank executives, including Othman Tawfeqe, General Manager of the Retail Banking Department, Manal Al Rubaian, General Manager of Internal Audit, Deema Al Mulaifi, Assistant General Manager of Operations, Maab Qasim, General Manager of International Banking, and Sarah Ashkanani, Executive Manager of Regulatory Compliance. The panel discussion was facilitated by Taiba Al-Humaidhi, founder of Lei Wa Lakom, specializing in supporting numerous issues concerning Arab women.
It is worth noting that KIB spares no effort in providing educational and developmental programs for its employees, as well as organizing and launching initiatives and events on all important social occasions. This aligns with its long-term vision of addressing all fundamental issues concerning its employees, customers, and the community alike. Additionally, the Bank reaffirms its commitment to supporting humanitarian principles that govern the work environment and ensure job fairness among all its staff across departments. This is achieved through raising awareness among them about the fundamentals of collaborative work, cooperation, and their role in achieving their aspirations and enhancing their potential.
