Jordan Ahli Bank was invited to participate at the Enterprise Conference, organized by the British Embassy in Jordan. The event was held on March 12th, 2013 at the Amman Intercontinental Hotel, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, HRH Prince Charles of Wales, HRH Prince Ghazi Bin Mohammad, and HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El Hasan in attendance. 

Jordan Ahli Bank’s participation stems from its ongoing aims to support the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)sector, thus serving as an active force in events that enable this business segment to play its role as an instigator of economic growth.  

At the conference, Jordan Ahli Bank’s financial and non-financial SME services were showcased at its exclusive booth, and from another angle, theBank’s Senior Deputy CEO Mr. Saad Mouasher gave a presentation about Ahli Bank & substantial value proposition including SME Toolkit and Ahli Bank’s new “Good Company Digital Magazine”, stressing how these interactive tools may help develop the SME sector further in Jordan.

The SME Toolkit is a web-based platform offered by Jordan Ahli Bank in partnership with IFC to entrepreneurs working within the SME sector. It provides a wealth of information and support the development of SMEs including online training opportunities, interactive business analysis tools, market research and more. It is aimed at offering SME founders the knowledge they need to successfully manage and grow new business opportunities and in turn employment opportunities for the masses. The SME Toolkit is also an effective means to support pioneers in this sector when trying to find new ways to generate income,or benefit from opportunities for entry into new markets,alongside utilizing better business practices. 

On this occasion, Mr. Saad Mouasher said that we were proud to see the Bank represented at the Conference, as this event presents itself as a strategic avenue for exchanging views regarding best business practices for SMEs. He further highlighted the fact that the SME sector is an important one, as it is anticipated to effectively steer global and local economies towards further growth and prosperity.  The sector therefore, serves as an effective means to reduce unemployment rates, and in turn to raise standards of living across local communities whilst advancing economic growth.

Mr.Mouasher further added that the Bank supports this sector not only through its specialized bouquet of SME financial services but also through its SME Academy, which is an entity dedicated to offering both Bank clients and potential clients from the SME sector the training opportunities they need to excel in their lines of work, and more importantly to steer their SME projects forward. From another angle Mr. Mouasher also shed light on HRH Prince Charles of Wales’s visit to Jordan Ahli Bank’s booth stating that his highness commended the bank’s SME services & products.

The Bank’sSME focus is at the forefront of its priorities, as it believes that this sector has great potential to steer Jordan towards further socioeconomic growth & prosperity.
