FGB forges new corporate alliance with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners

FGB, one of the leading banks in the UAE, has established a new corporate alliance with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). The ACFE is the world's largest anti-fraud organisation and a premier provider of anti-fraud training and education.
The alliance will strengthen FGB’s fraud risk management division, by providing the bank with access to specialist training about fraud prevention, monitoring and investigation, alongside valuable resources and tools.
Arif Shaikh, Chief Risk Officer at FGB, said: “We are committed to operating risk-free operation at FGB, and our partnership with the world’s premier anti-fraud organisation goes a long way in supporting this objective. Fraud is a growing concern on a global level and FGB is committed to ensure that the bank has the best practices and processes in place to prevent and detect these crimes.”
ACFE President and CEO James D. Ratley, CFE, said: “FGB’s decision to join the Corporate Alliance displays a strong commitment by the bank towards the global fight against fraud. The bank has decided to take an active approach to preventing and detecting fraud by expert training and education, in line with the UAE’s overall approach towards this issue. The UAE was recently ranked the least corrupt nation in the Arab world – and thanks to the commitment of organizations like FGB, it will continue to be a leader in the fight against fraud.”
The ACFE has more than 75,000 members and is working to reduce business fraud world-wide. Its Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence, and is the coveted qualification for anti-fraud professionals across the world.
