Dubai Customs receives TECOM Investments’ delegation

Dubai Customs has recently received a TECOM Investments’ delegation at its main office. The  visit was aimed at strengthening ties of cooperation, facilitating customs procedures and delivering best services to the “Dubai Design District” projectstakeholders. The project is set to bring together design institutes, in addition to designated facilities for designers, fashion corporations and prestigious brands.

The meeting was held in line with DC strategy to foster collaboration with all government entities and private companies, in an effort to facilitate legitimate trade and promote Dubai’s economic growth.

HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, received the TECOM Investments delegation, headed by Dr Amina Al Rustamani, Group CEO, TECOM Investments. From Dubai Customs, Mr Abdullah Mohammed Al Khaja, Acting Executive Director of Customer Management Division, Mr Mohammed Al Muaini, Acting Executive Director of Policies and Legislation Division, and Mr Khalil Saqer, Director of Corporate Communication Department, attended the meeting. The delegation comprised Mr Ali Bu Rahima, Deputy Director General of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, and Mrs Lindsey Miller, Director General, Dubai Design District; Mr Ahmad Al Sharif, Senior Manager of the Monitoring and Control Department at Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority.

HE Ahmed Mahboob said that Dubai customs is keen on fostering collaboration with all government entities and private businesses, in a way that enables the delivery of top-notch customs services and facilitations to realize the DC’s strategic gaols of facilitating legitimate trade and supporting Dubai’s economic growth.

He confirmed the DC’s commitment to establishing a pivotal presence at the heart of the project through a customs centre, which will deliver all customs services and facilitations to clients and enable them to complete their customs transactions and procedures smoothly and with ease. Thus, the customs centre will achieve added value to the project, leveraging its position as global design destination.

The visiting delegation expressed their appreciation for DC’s continuous cooperation in all aspects and fields deemed to achieve Dubai Government’s strategic goals towards reinforcing the emirate’s economic and trade foothold globally. They also commended the services and facilitations Dubai Customs opts to offer at the “Dubai Design District”.
