Dubai Customs hosted a Ramadan Suhoor event for its staff at the Dubai World Trade Center, in efforts to enhance social bonds between them, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.

The event was attended by H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, executive directors, departments and customs centres directors and a large number of DC employees.

The Director of Dubai Customs congratulated employees on the occasion of the holy month and wished them success in performing their duties. He said:” The Suhoor event is in line with DC’s commitment to providing a work-conducive environment in a family-like atmosphere, marked by the spirit of One Team. This gathering is only a small appreciation of their efforts and a motivation for more diligence”.

The event included performing Isha and Taraweeh prayers in the hall. The Imam of Masjid Salman Al-Farisi, Dubai, Abdul Aziz Abul Ghaith led the attendees in prayer. After that, a religious lecture titled “Change in Ramadan” was delivered by His Eminence Sheikh Sulaiman Al Jubailan from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who said Ramadan is an opportunity for the betterment of one’s self. He also pointed that Islam urges us to work diligently and be productive.

The event included a Ramadan contest, through which flight tickets presented by flydubai to various destinations around the world were handed over to employees. Following the contest, employees had a Suhoor meal.

At the end, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob awarded Sheikh Sulaiman Al Jubailan and Abdul Aziz Abul Ghaith for their participation at the event.
