DIP hosts seminar on fire safety training by Dubai Civil Defence

Health, safety & environment managers and representatives of over 120 companies operating within Dubai Investments Park [DIP], the largest integrated commercial, industrial and residential community in the Middle East and wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC, attended a seminar on fire safety training by Dubai Civil Defence this week.

The seminar, held at the DI House Auditorium in DIP and conducted by Emirates Civil Defence Academy –  part of Dubai Civil Defence, updated the attendees on the responsibilities for safety measures and the civil defence requirements to be fulfilled across various entities within DIP.

Various modalities on maintenance of preventive fire safety systems and training were presented during the seminar.

Saeed Bugaraah, Deputy General Manager - Operations at DIP, said: “The seminar was organized to help companies within DIP to have an integrated approach on fire and safety requirements in order to ensure compliance and efficiency. Such training, coupled with regular maintenance of fire safety equipment and procedures are absolutely mandatory to ensure safety to people and premises. The seminar was part of DIP Safety Vision – to provide its tenants and residents with the best facilities and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations set by local authorities.”

The UAE Ministerial Resolution No. 505, issued in 2012, on regulating civil defence services in the state has made it mandatory for all companies and institutions to complete the fire safety training and maintenance of fire safety systems for renewal of trade licence.
