Bayut Football league a hit with Dubai realtors

UAE’s smartest property web portal, organized an exciting, first-ever, football tournament for realtors from Dubai’s leading real estate agencies at the Sportsmania in Jumeriah Lake Towers. Named Bayut Football League, the event will be played in three stages, the first of which was held on Thursday, February 18.

Teams from Bayut, Driven Properties, Terra Casa, Blissimi, Haus & Haus, Raine & Horne, Espace, JK Properties, McCone, Aston Pearl, Golden Wave, SPF, Aeon & Trisl, Engel and Volkers took part in the event, which had a zealous support from friends and families of the participants.

Bayut’s home team consists of CEO Haider Ali Khan and other Bayut members Paul, Chris, Sam, Adeel, Motaz and Parsi. While most women at the event turned up to support their teams and friends, a female member of the Driven Properties team, Cristina, actually donned the kit for some firsthand action, helping her team win all three matches. The 14 teams – provided custom kits courtesy Bayut.com  –  have been divided into two competitive groups in the five–a-side league and will go head to head in two rounds to vie for a place in the finals, scheduled to be held on March 3.

Amid a rain of goals, the event not only provided participants with an opportunity to indulge in some fair and square sports action on the field, but also proved a great place for professional networking off the field.

Haider Ali Khan, Bayut CEO, said participation in the event had been a through success. “It was great to see realtors turn up for the love of the sport. Gauging the interest it has garnered, we would love to make such events a regular on our calendar.”

The second round of the football league will be played on Thursday, February 25, from 3pm to 5pm at Sportsmania, JLT.

Bayut also holds breakfast events for real estate agencies on a regular basis, aimed at bringing market players closer. The company has successfully raised a funding of $29 million dollars in the last six months and is planning expansion into other regional markets.
