Bank Nizwa sponsors Quran competition in the Governorate of South Batinah

Bank Nizwa sponsored a Quran competition for students organized by the Ministry of Education through the Directorate General of Education in South Batinah Governorate. With 1,000 students from 117 schools participating in the competition, ten winners were honored in an awards ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Abdallah bin Rashid Al Siyabi, Vice President of the Supreme Court. The competition featured four categories for contestants including Quran memorization for students, Quran memorization for students with hearing or visual impairments, and recitation.  

Dr. Ashraf bin Nabhan Al Nabhani, General Manager-Corporate Support at Bank Nizwa, said, “We have been committed to empowering local communities from the outset, a dedication that has only grown with time, nurtured by the many corporate social responsibility programs we have launched. As Oman’s leading Islamic financial institution, we believe it is our responsibility to offer the youth of Oman a platform to exhibit their skills and celebrate the values enshrined in the Holy Quran.”
