Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor receives Zoltán Jancsi, Ambassador of Hungary to the United Arab Emirates

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group met with His Excellency, Zoltán Jancsi, Ambassador of Hungary to the United Arab Emirates on Monday, 27 January 2014 at the Group’s head office on Al Wasl Road. This is the second meeting for Chairman and the Hungarian Ambassador since September 2013, shortly after Mr Jancsi’s appointment to the diplomatic role.
The Chairman and His Excellency discussed new potential investments for the Al Habtoor Group in Hungary, mainly in the hospitality sector. The Al Habtoor Group purchased the historic five-star Le Méridien Hotel in central Budapest in May, 2012.
The subject of discussion was also the planned book launch of the ‘Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor – the Autobiography’ in Hungary in the spring 2014. The autobiography, which was released late 2012, has been so far launched in the GCC and United Kingdom. It has already hit several best-sellers’ lists and the first three chapters will soon be used for educational purposes in the UAE.
Al Habtoor said, “Hungary presents many attractive investment opportunities for the Group, which is reinforced by the expectation of positive economic growth for the country in 2014. I am keen on developing UAE – Hungarian economic relations. ”
Present also from the Al Habtoor Group were Ahmed Mohammed Al Otaiba, newly appointed Director/ Member of the Board and Sanjeev Agarwala, Director Strategy & Business Development.
