Abu Dhabi Ports prepares next generation of UAE National leaders
Several Emirati senior members of staff from Abu Dhabi Ports have successfully completed the “Leadership Team Engagement Boot Camp”, a four-day training programme based on the world-famous Dale Carnegie Training.
The highly interactive workshop, which took place recently, was organised in support of Abu Dhabi Ports’ strategy to develop and prepare the next generation of UAE National leaders.
In an official ceremony, Abu Dhabi Ports’ CEO Capt. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi presented a certificate to all of the participants. By doing so, he honoured their achievements within the organisation – one which is dedicated to helping Emiratis grow into responsible leadership positions.
The workshop covered a wide range of exercises to build team confidence and risk taking skills, as well as to enhance communication, people and time management skills. Furthermore, it addressed how to effectively deal with challenges and opportunities to hit targets and achieve optimum results.

ADPC was established in March 2006 by Emiri Decree No. 6 of 2006 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as part of the restructuring of the commercial ports sector in the Emirate and was given control and regulatory enforcement power over all commercial ports assets previously owned by the Abu Dhabi Seaports Authority (ADSA).
