Oman's Ports Services Corporation gets new equipment

Oman's Ports Services Corporation started receiving the first batch of the new machinery purchased under an agreement signed between the corporation and the General Electronics and Trade Company and the Arab Auto Marketing Company in January.  

 

According to ONA, the first batch of equipment received by the corporation included 2 Ferrari model dragging heads and 8 Ferrari model dragging heads for the Container Terminal.  

 

The second batch of equipment which is inclined to arrive in the next two weeks would include 8 Atlas Hukon trailers, the capacity of each is 60 tonnes. A third batch of equipment which includes two Kalmar telescopic cranes is expected to arrive on July 4th.  

 

The procurement of the new equipment falls within the corporation’s plan to modernize the equipment used in Sultan Qaboos Port. (menareport.com)
