(MEBG) - The Kuwaiti Oil Minister, Sheikh Saud Nasser al-Sabah, said that his government has agreed to resume talks in September with Iran on resolving a maritime territorial dispute, reported the BBC on July 26. He added that the international law would be followed and that a technical committee would study the issues involved.

The border disputes resurfaced earlier this year when Iran started drilling in the Dorra field in the northern Gulf region, which is rich in gas and also claimed by Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The drilling was stopped after protests by the two countries.
