ALBAWABA - Amid apologizing for reposting an "anti-Semitic" post on X (formerly Twitter), and calling it his “dumbest” social media post ever. Elon Musk lashed out at the ongoing quarrel between his social media platform X and advertisers such as Disney, Oracle, and more.
Musk told the New York Times DealBook Summit in his interview on Wednesday, “I don’t want them to advertise,” and “If someone is going to blackmail me with advertising or money go f**k yourself. Go. F**k. Yourself,” he said. “Is that clear? Hey Bob, if you’re in the audience, that’s how I feel.”
The "Bob" he's referring to is Disney CEO Bob Iger who spoke at the New York summit before Elon did.
Elon Musk: advertisers should all go "f*** themselves"
The conversation lasted for an hour, so here's more of what Musk had to say about the advertisers:
During the conversation, Musk added that he doesn't care if he's hated and said: “Hate away, There’s a real weakness to wanting to be liked." while X's CEO Linda Yaccarino, sat in the audience listening to the billionaire speak up for the platform.
He also added that this boycott will only affect the company in a negative way by saying “What this advertising boycott is going to do is, it is going to kill the company,” and “the whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company.”

The whole reason companies like IBM, Disney, Oracle, Apple, and more took to outlets enraged and announcing the boycott of Elon's platform X was because he "endorsed" what the White House of the US called “antisemitic and racist hate.”
This was a huge deal for these companies as Elon Musk has a huge following on X and influences many people around the world. At the time of writing this article, Musk currently has more than 164 million followers but according to a tech blog by Mashable, most of these followers appeared to be inactive.
