The Alpen Capital Group was honoured in the “Best Research” category at the Banker Middle East Industry Awards 2011. Rohit Walia, Executive Vice Chairman & CEO of the Alpen Capital Group received the award at a ceremony held at the Ritz Carlton on 22 June.

The Industry Research function of Alpen Capital was launched in January 2009 to complement its existing Investment banking activities in the areas of Debt, M & A, Equity and Capital Markets. The Industry research service publishes reports with a detailed analysis on the different sectors in the GCC, assesses trends, challenges and shortcomings as well as highlights the investment opportunities that are available. In addition, it also provides a detailed assessment of the various players in the sector as well as a country wise analysis. Till date, Alpen Capital has published ten Industry reports in sectors such as Cement, Retail, Insurance, Takaful, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Education, Petrochemicals and Hospitality.
