Dr. Ahmed Al-Hashemi, Chairman of the National Anti-Doping Committee, has stressed that the UAE is committed to all the clauses of the International Convention against Doping in Sport, which it adopted in 2009.
He made the statement while receiving Marcellin Dally, Secretary of the UNESCO’s International Convention against Doping in Sport, in Dubai. A co-ordination event was organised for the next meeting of UNESCO, which will be held at the end of September for all countries that have signed the International Convention against Doping in Sport.
The UNESCO meeting will be attended by Dr. Ahmed Al-Hashemi and Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Committee. A paper prepared by the National Anti-Doping Committee regarding anti-doping procedures will be discussed on the occasion.
