Manchester City continue to be linked to Torino's star midfielder Samuele Ricci.
However, the Turin-based club will resist any approach for the 23-year-old, according to Tuttosport.
City are reportedly planning to sign the Italy international in January, as they seek cover for injured Rodri, but they have been informed that Ricci will not be leaving in the upcoming transfer window.
The Premier League's reigning champions are ready to pay €35-40m for the Italian, but Toro are set to turn down any offer until the end of the season.
Serie A giants Napoli and AC Milan are also interested in the midfielder, who has a deal with Torino that expires in 2026.
