Sunderland have taken five points from their last three matches with a win and two draws and manager Gus Poyet is certain to be happy with his side’s form as of late and a visit from Chelsea will be for certain their biggest challenge of the campaign thus far.

The Black Cats have the same injury issues as they did last weekend and there is likely to be an unchanged side for Poyet.

Chelsea on the other hand continue to roll on in all competitive fronts as they won yet again this midweek in the UEFA Champions League.

Manager Jose Mourinho’s only headache in selections is that he can pick from  a perfectly healthy side save for Diego Costa whom picked up a knock in midweek but is still likely to start.

Projected Lineups

Sunderland XI: Pantilimon: Vergini, Brown, O’Shea, Reveillere; Cattermole; Johnson, Larsson, Gomez, Wickham; Fletcher.

Chelsea XI: Courtois: Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilcueta; Matic, Fabregas; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Costa.
