The 2018 Spanish Super Cup will be held in Tangier on August 12, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced on Sunday.
The contest will see FC Barcelona, La Liga champions, against Sevilla, Copa del Rey runners up after losing to Barça, face off in a one-off match.
The event will be held at Ibn Battouta Stadium in Tangier at 21:00 local time.
In a statement, the RFEF said that the 45,000-capacity Ibn Battouta Stadium, which was inaugurated in 2011 in a friendly involving Ittihad Tangier and Atletico Madrid, "is one of a range of modern stadiums boasted by our neighbouring country".
The 2018 Spanish Super Cup will be the first to be played outside of Spain, and will switch from its usual two-legged format.
