Saudi Pro League vice-chairman Saad Al Lazeez is looking forward to another summer of mega spending.
The Saudi Public Investment Fund has invested heavily in the last couple of years in a push to elevate the overall quality of the league.
Al Lazeez spoke to the Financial Times' Business of Football Summit and said: "This is a long-term investment. We are not in it for a season.
"We are pleased with what has been achieved so far. In fact, I think we are a bit ahead of schedule."
The SPL is reportedly eyeing a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah this year along with other high profile stars that are being linked with possible transfers as well.
