Chelsea appears close to naming their next head coach. Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior is currently in London to finalise the details of his move to Stamford Bridge.

Rosenior arrived in the English capital late on Sunday. Sources say an official announcement could be made later today as talks near completion.

Farewell Signs at Strasbourg Ahead of Departure

The 41-year-old coach seemed to say goodbye to Strasbourg supporters and players after Saturday’s draw with Nice. This moment is widely seen as a sign that he will soon leave the French club.

With BlueCo owning both Chelsea and Strasbourg, reports suggest the managerial transition has been carefully planned. While Rosenior’s move to Chelsea looks set, attention has now turned to finding his replacement in Alsace.

Set to Replace Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge

Rosenior is expected to take over from Enzo Maresca, who left his role at the start of the New Year. The Italian’s departure came after a run of mixed results, prompting Chelsea to act swiftly in finding a new manager.

At 41, Rosenior will face one of the toughest jobs in English football, with the task of restoring stability and momentum during a key phase of the Premier League season.

Caretaker Manager McFarlane Addresses Transition Timeline

After Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Sunday, caretaker manager Calum McFarlane confirmed that his position was always meant to be temporary.

“When I first took the job, I was told I would be in charge for the Manchester City game,” McFarlane said. “That meant three days with the group.

“There was a possibility the new manager would arrive on Monday. It’s Sunday now, and our full focus has been on the match. I’m sure I’ll get more clarity after this press conference, but as far as I know, the new head coach will be in soon, and I’ll stay on until then.”
