Ronaldinho revealed on the sidelines of a visit to Dubai on Saturday that he’s had offers from local clubs.

The 36-year-old Brazilian playmaker isn’t officially retired but hasn’t played in over a year after terminating his contract at Fluminense because he wasn’t able to perform.

On a visit to his self-titled football academy in the Koora Dome at Al Wasl club on Saturday however, the 2002 World Cup winner and two-time World Player of the Year left press speculating on a possible return.

“I’ve received offers in the region, my brother and agent knows more about the details, but I’m very happy that this region has a lot of interest in me and vice versa,” said the former Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and AC Milan player. “I have a lot of friends who have played here and they all have good things to say about the country. I don’t know the details as such but overall I have a very good impression of UAE football.

“I’m very thankful for the treatment I get here. I know the fans love me and above all I am treated with a lot of respect, they show me a lot of care and attention and that makes me very happy.”
